One of the main missions that a window fulfills is that of ventilation, allowing through it the communication of the interior of the room with the exterior.
oIf your home is too hot or too cold, it may be time to change the windows. They, along with other factors, greatly help to insulate your home properly, both in summer and winter. Inadequate or too old windows allow heat to escape from the interior in winter and, in summer, allow it to seep in, thus causing thermal conditions that are not very or not at all comfortable. Not to mention the energy loss this entails, as you will need to turn the heating on more in the cooler months and the air conditioning on in the hotter months.
